Mandala templates are used to draw mandalas in a simple way. The templates can be drawn before the design is made, or printed out, placed under the sheet of paper and drawn with this guide.
Mandala painting is a relaxation technique. Nowadays mandalas are sold for colouring not only for for adults. Frankly, it’s a pity, because the most fun is to draw the mandala as you like and then paint it.
Today I am going to share with you my templates to make mandalas and we will see step by step how to make them, in an easy way. Once drawn, anyone can paint it as they like: with coloured pencils, tempera, watercolours, etc.
Stencils to create mandalas
These templates for making mandalas can be used to put under the sheet of paper on which we are going to draw, and draw on it, to have a guide. We can also draw them with a pencil before we start making the mandala.
When we start drawing the template, we start by making a square. We mark the halves, the diagonals and then, using the central point as a support for the compass, we make a circle.

Here you have some of the templates I use to draw mandalas, which you can use as a base to draw your own templates, or print them to trace them.
Creating mandalas with templates

I have a mandala notebook and I use this method. If there is a mandala I like, I draw it by hand on a thicker sheet of paper, drawing the stencils with pencil, and then I paint it. I can assure you that drawing mandalas is very relaxing, it is creative, and we can make pictures or decorations with the drawings we like the most.
Here I show you a few mandalas from my mandala writings, unpainted.
